Through the Master’s Degree we propose to comply with the achievement of the Strategic Program of Human Resources Training Regarding Energy (PEFRHME) and support so that we raise in Mexico talent with knowledge and the necessary capacities to develop the energy sector, reducing the gap between supply and demand for specialized workers in the energy sector, in its quantity as well as its quality, fields, and levels of competence required by the value of chain of the energy sector (generation, transport, distribution, use, and energetic efficiency).
At Tecnologico de Monterrey we have developed, the experience to train specialized human talent for a sector of economy and it pretends to capitalize the achievements reached in the last 7 years in the “Consorcio Empresarial para el Fomento de la Investigación Aplicada”, where a group of leader companies have associated with the Institution to support talented students, graduated from the best institutions from the country, so that they can complete a master’s degree by working on their own research projects and thesis in close contact with technologists from companies and with scholarships from them.
Many subjects from the master’s degree are taught by institutional leaders and entrepreneurs from the energy sector together with teachers from our college. At the end of the program the students become experts in the problems from the company that gave them the scholarship and their thesis papers provide, in most of the cases, solutions that add value to the products or processes in which they were involved since the beginning.
